CEDIA presented the winners of the prestigious CEDIA AWARDS 2011 at a glittering black-tie Gala Dinner ceremony on Friday 8th April at One Mayfair in London’s exclusive West End.

The famous television actor and self-confessed smart home enthusiast, Trevor Eve, presented the awards in front of an audience of 300 industry professionals.

The CEDIA AWARDS recognises excellence in integration and design across the CEDIA Region 1 which includes the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, India and Pakistan. Robert Hallam, Chairman of CEDIA Region 1 and CEDIA Awards Chair of Judges commented, “We appreciate the amount of time and effort it takes to enter the Awards and we would like to thank all our members for supporting the scheme again this year. The standard of this year’s event was incredible. Our members have really raised the bar, both in terms of standard of entries and the expectations of what can be achieved.”

Alongside these project winners, CEDIA Awards were also presented in two trade supplier categories; Best Trade Supplier and Best Training Initiative by a Trade Supplier. All ESP members were entitled to vote on both categories.

This year’s winner of Best Trade Supplier went to Crestron. Winner of Best Training Initiative by a Trade Supplier went to Lutron.

New to this year’s Awards was the Technician of the Year category, open to nominations by member companies, seeking to reward an installer who consistently produces work to the highest standard. The victor of this Award was Laura Lazzerini from Italy’s, Studio LGL.

Established to recognise and reward high quality system design, installation and integration, the CEDIA Awards help to set the standard for CEDIA ESP members across CEDIA Region 1. A prestigious line-up of individuals presided over the 2011 CEDIA Awards judging process.
