HDAnywhere’s clever new HDMI cables

HDAnywhere has announced two new HDMI cables designed to deal with specific installation problems.

HDAnywhere SlimWire

The new models are intended to address the issue of fitting behind modern slimline TVs and the perennial problem of maintaining signal quality over longer distances.

The SlimWire starts at £10 for a 0.5m length and lengths are available up to 5m (£15 for 1m, £25 for 3m and £30 for 5m), while the ActiveWire starts at £40 for an 8m length and can run up to 45m (10m at £40, 15m at £60, 20m at £70, 25m at £80 and 45m at £130).

The SlimWire is a High Speed with Ethernet model designed to be 50 per cent slimmer than the company’s existing cables. The cabling uses ‘super-shielded flexi-wire technology’ to allow it to be run around tight bends without affecting signal integrity.

HDAnywhere ActiveWire

The ActiveWire is also meets High Speed with Ethernet specifications, but uses an in-line equalisation chipset (pictured) to filter out the electrical noise and interference that can reduce cable bandwidth over long runs, which can lead to drop-outs and signal degradation.

The SlimWire and ActiveWire are available now. HDAnywhere cables are distributed in the UK by HD Cable.
