LG has won this years EISA Award the best TV design for its 55-inch OLED TV with the World’s first curved OLED screen that creates an “immersive IMAX-like experience” right in your home! And to top it off, it’s the first OLED TV to get THX Certification.

The OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology panel used in LG’s 55EA980V gives superb colors and amazing contrast with exceptional fluidity for those fast moving scenes, while being both ultra slim and almost feather-weight, at 17kg.

The first screens went on sale in Germany in early September at 8,999€, but already on the web prices can be seen at 7,990€.

A flatscreen that isn’t actually flat, thanks to the use of OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology, the LG offers a cutting-edge, stylish and super-slim design, with the display seemingly floating on its transparent stand that includes nearly invisible speakers. LG’s OLED implementation (which uses an additional white pixel) brings performance benefits too; this TV offers an ultra-high contrast with deep black levels and searing bright whites, an extremely wide viewing angle and vivid colours. 3D and Smart TV features are of course also included, and the curved shape provides a unique viewing experience.
