First seen at IFA this year, the new Klipsch STATUS noise-isolating, over-ear headphones are now available. Of course they incorporate the over six decades of Klipsch heritage in technology and acoustic know-how, but two factors that make these headphones stand out in an already crowded market and worth your while to have a closer look are the very light-weight, yet virtually indestructible construction, perfect for taking them with you everywhere, as well as the added comfort from their ear cups, lined with high-density memory foam, to create a more personalized seal around your ear.

The Klipsch STATUS headphone’s frame is constructed from the same durable material used in state-of-the-art eye-wear called Grilamid TR®, which means light (328 grams) yet exceptionally strong, while maintaining a very fashionable look, with a gloss finish in either pearl white or black.

Ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and stability, the headphone features ear cups lined with high-density memory foam, optimized clamp force as well as precisely dimensioned ear cup rotations to create a perfect seal around the ear. The STATUS headphones also boast passive noise cancellation. Although we have not yet been able to fully test this ourselves, it appears from what we have heard so far it is quite good in terms of performance. In addition, for those on the go, the headphones are easily fold-able to fit neatly into the included travel case.

These headphones incorporate dynamic 40mm drivers an addition to two detachable cables similar to those used in premium HiFi systems and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

One of the cable features a three-button mic and remote compatible with iPods ®, iPhones ® or iPads ® for complete music in noise-reduced silence, which will only be interrupted by those important calls, well that are so annoying when in the middle of your favourite song, but the cable lets you leave your telephone in the pocket and just use the remote.
