The black tie gala with an audience of over 300 guests from the residential custom installation, interior design and architecture worlds attended this special annual event. The selection process is very strict and totally independent as throughout the entire judging process the identity of the companies taking part in the CEDIA Awards remains completely anonymous to preserve the integrity of the adjudication process. Each installation category is judged by an expert panel drawn from the worlds of architecture, interiors, property, IT, smart home journalism and, of course, custom installation to ensure the highest standards of scrutiny for each and every entry.
A first round of technical judging is complemented by a final rigorous assessment to determine the category winners. As well as the need to be integrated and beautifully concealed with the interior, important factors also considered include compliance with industry best practice, the imaginative and appropriate design and use of technology, impeccably designed and installed racks, value for money as well as that all important ‘wow’ factor.
