Rotel RB-1072 : Stereo Power Amplifier

January 08, 2007 — Article

Rotel introduces the RB-1072, a stereo power amplifier that follows up the release of its stereo preamp at CES last year.

The RB-1072 is a 100-watt-per-channe ampl with a specially sleek design : only 6cm thick! Based on the highly-praised Class-D switching platforms, you can rest assured that space-gain will not imply quality-loss.

The Class-D technology is already part of the RMB-1077, RB-1092 and RB-1091 systems. Because of the advanced technology the RB-1072 needs little ventilation. It runs relatively cool even under taxing operating conditions. Engineers at Rotel have methodically applied the Balanced Design Concept (BDC) to create a very impressive design.

For those of you who dread the thought of experiencing digital amplification because of its « coldness » due to typically digital errors, you may be pleasantly surprised by the RB-1072…Indeed, the MECC (Multivariable Enhanced Cascade Control) and COM (Controlled Oscillation Modulation) are two designs which considerably reduce pulse-amplitude and pulse-timing errors.

Available this term in the US and in the second term of 2007 for Europe.
