Dynaudio introduces new Multimedia product range at CES

January 15, 2007 — Article

The Danish loudspeaker specialist Dynaudio steps away from sophisticated Automotive mobile audio and Professional recording studio monitors to set foot in the world of Multimedia. The release of the new MC 15 upmarket multimedia speakers and Sub 250MC complements the high-performance Home Systems Hi-Fi speakers already available.

MC stands for Multimedia Components and is a brand new, very discrete product line that affords the renowned Dynaudio sound quality at work, via media player or even with computer and video games. The possibilities for use are amazingly versatile, such that MC will represent a new standard of high definition sound reproduction for multimedia applications in the future. This new product category sports Dynaudio Authentic Fidelity sound characteristics uncommon to multimedia applications. Indeed, the company hopes to bring the audio quality normally reserved for home theaters to the desktop. It has therefore supplied the two-channel satellite with dual 50W amplifiers.

The subwoofer, namely Sub 250MC, was designed to match the MC 15. It can be installed to lower the bass frequency from 55 to 29Hz and supply an extra 200W of power to the overall system.

The MC 15 will be priced at $1299 per pair, while the SUB 250MC will be priced at $1000 each. Both models are slated to begin shipping in March 2007.
