Cabasse has on demo their flagship active speaker, La Sphère, in addition to the new Santorin 30 subwoofer which offers in a compact format the technical solutions applied in the low-frequency section of La Sphère, including a 30 cm honeycomb dome woofer and a powerful magnet in a closed cabinet. It boasts a 500 W RMS digital amplifier with precise digital adjustments of all the parameters using all-new Cabasse software for acoustical analysis and corrections of the room for sound reproduction that is absolutely “colouration free”. The Santorin 30 has included a measurement kit for automatic adaptation of the subwoofer response. In addition, three different, automatic and/or manual, set-ups can be saved and called up with the supplied remote control.
Also new in the Artis range, the Riga high-end co-axial system offers very compact satellites fitted with a new driver, the BC17, which took three years of intensive development. The 17 cm coaxial unit consists of a dome midrange-tweeter and ring shaped lower midrange-woofer membrane which is mounted in a sphere half the volume of the one used in the Baltic Evolution, her bigger sister. Designed for 2.1 or multichannel use, the range includes floorstanding, on-wall and bookshelf models.
