Floating rooms and 120db of sound can be a little daunting for some, yet PMI adopted a design that offers a self contained room that can play movies at high levels whilst somebody sleeps next door.

Taking advantage of an atrium that was no longer needed; a self contained cinema room was designed and built. Its construction was specific in that it needed to play 120db levels whilst being whisper quiet in the room next door.

It is a fully floating room, built on suspension supports to improve sound isolation and offers sixteen subwoofers arranged in pairs and a fully enclosed projector to minimise the room’s noise floor.

Knowledgeable use of acoustically transparent fabric, 8 comfortable seats, all the hardware hidden away and a high quality finish ensure an aesthetically pleasing design that sounds awesome.
