CSE the exclusive UK distributor for Intelix show the capabilities of the new HD Autobahn. Traditional HDMI signals can cause issues when extending and converting over distance and the Intelix overcomes this by using a three way combination of, matrix switcher, conversion and extension.

The 8 x 8 matrix switcher has a unique way of controlling key ID and EDID data and it also handles legacy equipment with on board conversion to HDMI.

The extenders use either CAT5, 5E or 6 conversions to HDMI allowing long distance distribution without handshake and data issues. They can repeat EDID data for ID matching and have the ability to select or deselect additional data streams via dip switches such as Dolby Surround if using a projector thereby eliminating unwanted signals that would normally consume bandwidth.
