One For All HD aerial

December 09, 2009 — Article

TV antennae specialist One For All has gone against the trend by launching a new full HD indoor aerial… for analogue TVs.

The SV9380 is targeted at the owners of the 12 million TV sets that still receive analogue terrestrial broadcasts, as well as those who can already receive HDTV via Freeview.

It’s being pushed as an upgrade to existing analogue aerials, particularly rooftop models which have become worn, and in households with more than one TV, where the additional sets are receiving analogue signals.
With up to three years left before analogue TV broadcasts are finally switched off in the UK, the company believes the product will appeal to those currently still using analogue, but which can still be used to improve reception when they make the move to Freeview digital.

‘Dual Patch’ technology means it’s actually two aerials in one, with a 180 degree angle of reception, which One For All reckons removes the need to adjust the aerial inch-by-inch to get the best signal. Meanwhile, triple filtering is claimed to eliminate interference from Wi-Fi and mobile phones.
The company also says that this ‘wideband’ aerial is capable of picking up all services, including C5 and ITV2, DAB radio, and any new TV and digital radio channels added to Freeview in the future.

The One For All SV9380 is available now for £60.
