Bowers & Wilkins’ 805 Diamond loudspeaker has been awarded European High-End Loudspeaker 2010-2011 by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).

The 805 standmount features trickledown technology from B&W’s ultra high end speakers, including a 1in diamond dome tweeter, mounted separately on top of the cabinet, and the Nautilus tapering tube as well as B&W’s familiar yellow 6.5in bass/mid cone made from Kevlar.

The EISA judging panel concluded: “As the voice of a top quality hi-fi system, and without dominating the furniture in your living room, the Bowers & Wilkins 805 Diamond offers a highly refined and beguiling sound that’s hard to resist.”

The BW Diamond 805 is available for around £3,750 a pair.
