Altec Lansing has unveiled six models in its oddly named new Muzx DNA line of stereo earphones.

Altec Lansing Muzx Ultra

The top-of-the-range Muzx Ultra features armature drivers designed to match the frequency response of the ear, while the other models are designed around 9mm drivers to give “full-range balanced sound”. All come with a selection of in-ear, SnugFit tips that adapt to the contours of the ear for comfort and acoustic clarity.

The Muzx DNA line includes three new voice control models:

MUZX Ultra (£80) earphones with iPod and iPhone compatible inline controls. The Ultra also features balanced armature drivers for exceptional audio definition as well as a sleek black design intended to match the iPhone.

MUZX Extra (£40) features increased bass response and tough cloth cord with moisture and friction resistant coating, as well as Apple-compliant inline control pod.

MUZX Core (£30) comes in gunmetal grey or white and features voice-compatible inline controls, enhanced bass, cloth cord with moisture and a friction-resistant coating.

With lower prices, but higher visibility, there’s also a Muzx fashion range:

MUZX Mesh (£20) with a streamlined profile and featuring enhanced bass, the Muzx Mesh is designed for long-time listening.

MUZX XX (£20) combines a more feminine look with soft colours and a low profile fit.

MUZX XY (£20) is designed for active use, with a pivot joint with a single wire design for a neckband-wearing style offering full motion freedom.

Adrian Bedggood, EMEA Manager for Altec Lansing, said: “Altec Lansing prides itself on superb audio for consumers. We have the history and expertise in providing big audio in small packages. The new Muzx DNA line is simply a continuation of doing what we do best.”

The Altec Lansing Muzx DNA is available now.
