The diminutive devices measure just 10cm long and weigh 28g yet have a hard drive with either 2GB or 4GB inside.

They’re available in a variety of colours and come with a bass boost button for quick access to low end tunage, as well as Sony’s ‘Zappin’ technology for quick searches.

The rechargeable battery promises up to 90 minutes of playback from a single three minute charge with a total battery life of up to 18 hours.

It can be clipped to belt, bag, pocket or lapel and connects to any PC with MP3 and WMA files transferred by drag and drop.

The new Walkman Music Clip NWZ-B160 range of ultra-portable MP3 players is available from mid-May 2011. Prices are yet to be confirmed.
