PMC has announced a new speaker for its twenty series range, a centre channel called the twenty.C.

Due to make its public debut at next month’s Bristol Sound & Vision Show it will be available in a choice of three real-wood veneers – oak, walnut and Amarone – as well as a high-gloss Diamond Black.

It will use the same M13 5.5in drive units as those in the twenty.21 standmount and the twenty.23 floorstander, and is specifically voiced to match the rest of the twenty series.

PMC’s proprietary bass/mid drive units have particularly stiff, lightweight paper cones which are built into a cast-alloy chassis. They sit on either side of the new Sonolex fabric dome tweeter, which has been developed in collaboration with Seas of Norway.

Like all PMC speakers, the twenty.C uses the company’s own Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) technology and the cabinet itself is made from 1.8cm thick Medite HDF for maximum rigidity.

The PMC twenty.C goes on sale in March for £1,295.
