There will be no immediate change to any of the company’s existing products, except for the name change. Ruark Audio however plans to release a new products in the next few months.

Ruark is well established as a hi-fi speaker brand, and created the Vita Audio name to differentiate its table-top radios five years ago.

The change to Ruark Audio should be completed by the end of April 2012, with the Vita Audio R1 MkII, R2i and R4i all coming under the Ruark Audio brand name.

Part of the reason for the change may be the complexities of international marketing. Ruark’s announcement reveals that “Our company name ‘Ruark’ is registered worldwide but we have been advised that this would be very difficult to fully achieve with ‘Vita’ as this is a word that is commonly used in many different countries.”
