The company says the Montis’s “evolutionary” design is the next incarnation of the Reserve ESL Series, and combines its electrostatic panel with dynamic bass driver technology.
The speaker includes a new 44in-high CLS (Curvilinear Line Source) XStat electrostatic transducer, as well as a 10in bass driver with an aluminium cone powered by an integral 200-watt amp.
It also has Martin Logan’s ultra-rigid AirFrame and 24-bit Vojtko DSP engine.
There are two types of finish are available for the frame: black or clear alloy. The base cabinet is also available in a choice of black ash, dark cherry or Zebrawood hand-rubbed wood veneers.
The MartinLogan Montis is available now from Absolute Sounds – black alloy costs £9,800 a pair, while the clear alloy model costs £10,998.
