February 06, 2008 — Article

Focal JMLab, renowned for their larger floor standing speakers using their unique inverted dome technology, will have on demonstration for the first time in Europe at the Sound & Vision Bristol Show later this month the Dome, their brand new mini-speaker line-up. It is the most compact speaker that Focal has ever produced and uses a machined aluminium cabinet.

Hand-made by Focal in France, the Dome technical highlights include a Focal-Titanium tweeter which is rigid and light for good thermal conductivity. The inverted configuration allows the use of a smaller diameter voice coil. This combination means lower moving mass giving greater efficiency. The compact speaker system boasts full range technology handling 150 watts in stereo mode. No effort has been spared to ensure they have the sonic qualities to match their stunning aesthetics.
