As Grand Designs 2009 comes to a close Cinenow gives you a quick round up of the technology that was on display at the show.

Amongst the 500 strong stands at the show you could find anything from LCD TV, Projectors, Cinema Chairs and wireless control systems.

Samsung Technology

Samsung had a range of products on display including the slimmest LED TV with built-in tuner the 7020 LED TV; the only mobile phone to offer full HD video record and playback the i8910 HD; a screen designed for 3D gaming and movie watching the 22" Samsung’s SyncMaster 2233RZ.

The 4600 Blu Ray Player Samsung’s first wall Mountable player was on show. With 1GB internal flask memory it allows you to access the latest BD LIVE content.

Specially flown in for the show was Samsung new OLED screen P2370L OLED TV monitor. Not due in stores until 2010 and claiming a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Your normal inputs include DVI / HDMI and has a total depth of just 1.6 centimetres. And being in the house of the future the screen has 40 percent less energy consumption compared to a same sized LCD.

The Games Room Company

The Games Room Company had everything from Projectors to gaming machines and Pool tables. They seemed to have all you every need including, jukeboxes, pinball, retro arcade games, air hockey, table football, vintage coke machines.

Roth Audio

Roth Audio were on hand at the show to show their latest product from the new ‘rothdock’ to the great valve amps the company make.

The new wireless rothdock allows you to stream your music from room to room wirelessly while charging your iPod/iPhone.

Place your iPod/iPhone into the dock and play your music wirelessly via 2.4GHz direct to your hifi system (while the iPod/iPhone charges).

Have your iPod/iPhone right by you so that you can see the screen and select tracks, etc. and if the iPhone rings, the music will fade and you’ll hear the ring through the hifi system.

The dock also has auxiliary 3.5mm input so you can also use a music-enabled mobile phone, MP3 player.
