High End Show Munich Round Up

The High End Show was held between the 21st – 24th of May 2009. As usual, long queues gathered at the entrance. Trade visitor attendance increased by around 18% compared on the previous year and the number of visitors on the Friday and Saturday were also up.

A number of Exhibitors were at the show and below is a brief of who were at the show and the new products released.

Dali Loudspeakers

Dali Launched Three new speakers. The DALI MENTOR MENUET the DALI FAZON SAT and DALI KOMPAS.

The new Mentor Menuet claims to be “setting new standards for sound experience and sonic performance from compact speakers”.

The company has taken technology from its Mentor range and distilled it down into a cabinet measuring a mere 25 x 15×13cm and weighing just 4Kg.

The new Dali Fazon Sat – a compact LCR speaker designed to complement the company’s Motif LCR range.

A new in-ceiling speaker was also introduced from Dali called The DALI PHANTOM KOMPAS 6M. This new high-end in-ceiling loudspeaker has configurable back side loading.

Marantz

Marantz lauched a new universal Blu-ray HD player the UD9004. Set for release at the end of September the new UD9004 features two HDMI outputs a 10-bit Silicon Optix chipset, 14-bit video DAC, an SD card reader, RS-232 control interface, support for BD-Live and an Ethernet port.

Kef Loudspeakers

Kef launched a new high end concept speaker named the blade.

The new blade speakers from KEF took three years to develop and offer exceptional design and sound quality. The drivers are specifically designed to behave with zero break-up or resonance over their frequency range, and the distinctive cabinet is carefully engineered not to interfere with the purity of their output.
