PMC AML2 Speakers Driving The Sound For Formula 1's Bruno Senna

August 24, 2011 — Press release

Formula One Driver Senna Installs AML2 Speakers

Formula One driver, Bruno Senna, nephew of the late Ayrton Senna, is currently installing a pair of PMC´s AML2 active monitors in his Monaco-based project studio, where he carries out remixes and production work of house and trance music. The Brazilian recently visited the PMC factory to collect his AML2s, whilst on route to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.

The driver for the Lotus Renault GP Formula One team has had a project studio at his Monaco home for several years. Pride of place in this compact setup is a pair of PMC TB2S-A Mark II monitors, but their owner was looking for something with even more detail and bass extension. Senna had previously visited PMC to meet with the owner and chief designer, Peter Thomas, who auditioned the AML2s for him.

PMC´s AML2 compact active monitors provide a big monitor sound from a small speaker set-up. They take the design of the internationally acclaimed AML1 compact active monitor still further, with newly introduced micro-engineered EQ tilt circuitry, enhanced power supply layouts, a revised cabinet structure with additional damping, and subtly revised cosmetics. This uncompromising design offers performance unmatched by any other speaker of a similar size and volume; for example, the unique driver arrangement, with a crossover point of only 1.4kHz, enables the AML to deliver an amazingly accurate portrayal of music or speech.

Senna is impressed with his new acquisition, saying: “How do you get a big monitor sound like that from such small speakers? These are the best nearfield monitors I´ve heard.”
