Video Cabling

Advice and comments concerning video cabling are exactly the same as those concerning audio cabling, with the only difference being that the impedance is raised to 75 Ohms, as video norms are a little different.

One should pay particular attention to one important detail, which is that of the distance separating the video-projector from the rest of the system. It can often be quite far away from the source (up to 50 metres), meaning the length of the video cable will thus generally be much greater than that between the DVD player and the amplifier, which are normally placed one on top of the other.

With losses leading to a drop in the quality of the signal being in relation to the length of the cable, don’t hesitate to take a top-of-the-line cable in this precise case.
