KEF KHT7005 and KHT8005 Soundbar systems

Ron Locke presents the KEF Soundbar systems lineup at the Sound & Vision Manchester Show 2009.

Created for today’s flat panel HDTV’s, the KHT7005 is designed for 32 inch screens, while the KHT8005 fits under a 42 inch (or larger) television.

The KHT8005 soundbar system includes the HTF8003 centre unit which contains 9 speakers in total, separated in 3 channels left, center and right, each with one of the famous 3-inch KEF Uni-Q drivers and individual tweeter, a 3-inch woofer and a 3-inch auxiliary bass radiator to reinforce lower frequencies. The system is completed by 2 HTS7001 satellite speakers housing dual 2-inch woofers and a 0.75-inch high-frequency driver, which can be either table or wall mounted and the 200W KUBE-2 subwoofer boasting 200 watts of power with a Class-D amplifier, side-firing 10-inch long-throw bass driver and a complementing 10-inch ABR (Active Bass Reflex).

The KHT7005 soundbar system includes the HTF7003 unit for under the TV with 6 speakers, each of the three channels containing dual 2-inch woofers and a 0.75-inch high frequency driver. To complete the package are the HTS7001 satellite speakers as well as KUBE-1 subwoofer with 150W on board amplifier which powers both the 8-inch long-throw bass driver and the 8-inch ABR.
