Spendor World Premier Launch of the A9 Floor Standing Speaker (Sound & Vision: The Bristol Show 2010)

March 04, 2010

Highlights

Spendor is excited to announce the world premier launch of their new A9 floor standing speaker. Introduced to compliment their current A line series the A9 is a full three way design using the companies core technologies including a 15cm polymer cone midrange, and two, 18cm Kevlar composite bass drive units.

Built with a rigid cabinet it incorporates Spendor’s dynamic damping system which uses small locally placed polymer materials inside the cabinet that act as constrained dampers that remove the sound without storing it, slowing it down and without blurring it.

Utilising Spendor’s linear flow system, the port at the bottom of the speaker produces low distortion and low velocity air flow which in turn means it’s not sensitive to room position making it very flexible in choosing your listening position.

It has a 90 db sensitivity making it easy to drive from smaller amplifiers and the balanced set up makes it a transparent and natural sounding speaker.
