September 20, 2010

Highlights

Sony presents the full home cinema experience with Sony’s first full 3D projector that is based on their award winning VW-85 projector.

The VPL-VW90ES projector system uses frame-sequential projection via IR LED-switching glasses, and with a 240Hz refresh rate, adjustable 3D settings and a true 80,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, it delivers an immersive, natural home 3D experience and utilises the SXRD panel technology similar to those used by professional cinemas.

Simply connect a 3D Blu-ray player and of you go, the shutter glasses are very similar to those used on the Bravia apart from the addition of a filter for use with the projector. The lens has a motorised shutter and the switching signal is mounted around the lens.

The glasses have a battery life of around 100hrs and with the auto power down when not in use they are ready when you are.

Supported by the addition of their new receivers you have the option for a complete 3D package with stunning pictures and sound.
