TEAC A-R650 stereo amplifier

July 08, 2010 — Article

TEAC has announced a new integrated stereo amplifier, the A-R650.

It can pump out 90 watts through each of its channels into 8ohms, and can rev it up to 120 watts each into 4ohms. Around the back it has seven inputs including a moving magnet phono stage for use with a turntable.

The A-R650 has two sets of speaker outputs as well as a headphone socket and a microphone input with its own level control, which TEAC says makes it “perfect for semi-professional or commercial use”, presumably as a karaoke machine.

Volume and tone are controlled by old-school chunky rotary knobs but it also comes with a remote control which can handle the amp as well as related TEAC separates like the T-R650 DAB/FM/AM tuner.

The TEAC A-R650 is on sale now for £250.
