British iPod dock speacialist Roth Audio has announced its first standalone radio, the KRadio

Roth KRadio

It includes DAB, FM and internet radio tuners, as well as a charging iPod/iPhone dock and it can be operated using its backlight touch-sensitive buttons or the supplied remote.

It uses Frontier Silicon’s latest V6.2 module and offers ten presets each for internet radio, DAB and FM, with 2 x 5W of audio power delivered through its top-mounted speakers. It can connect to the internet using either wireless Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet connections.

Company founder James Roth said: “This is our first foray into the DAB/internet radio market sector and we believe we have designed a product that meets and exceeds the requirements of our customers.

“There’s no doubt that we have covered all possible connectivity formats in what is already recognised as a particularly elegant design.”

The KRadio will be available in September for £199.
