Bowers & Wilkins has announced its first pair of high-end earbuds with the C5.

Bowers & Wilkins C5

The earbuds feature a ‘Micro Porous Filter’ which acts a diffuser, allowing the C5 to deliver “pristine, natural audio, while also providing a more spacious performance than previously possible from in-ear headphones”, according to B&W.

The filter also apparently limits noise bleed, complementing the effects of the noise-excluding grommets around the speakers.

B&W’s own Secure Loop design offers an adjustable cushioned loop that rests in the inner ridge of your ear, helping the earbuds to stay in place even while you’re running. . This solution holds C5 in place for improved sound, and also makes it ideal for use on the move and during activities.

The ‘Tungsten Balanced’ design works by using high-mass material closer to the user’s ear, designed to produce an improved seal for better sound and noise isolation.

Made from ‘high-grade’ aluminium, the C5 is designed specifically for Apple devices and comes with a ‘Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad’ remote and microphone.

The B&W C5 is available from August for £150.
